This is a friendly appeal to our friends to PLEASE sign up for the Colorado Blues Society newsletter and consider becoming a CBS member. We have a very active blues society in our state, which has a significant impact on the music scene and artists in Colorado. The CBS is on the front lines, creating greater awareness and appreciation of this great American indigenous art form, the Blues. They provide free educational programs in the schools, sponsor blues jams, work with other non-profits such as The Blues Foundation, and publish an information-packed bi-monthly newsletter as well as a weekly email update. They conduct the annual Colorado Blues Challenge, with winning musicians continuing on to the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. They even provide financial support for artists representing Colorado at the IBC.
Oh yes, but that’s not all. ONLY CBS members can vote for bands and individual musicians in the Members Choice Awards and we want your vote!
CBS Membership (ranging from $20 for a student to $40 for a family) is an important way for CBS to raise money to support all of these great programs, so please sign up if you can.
